Just three weeks into communications workshops in Zaatari camp, two of the groups have wrapped up filming for their short stories. We followed along as one of the girls' groups captured their story about the power of harmony and hope. The day began as Mohsin, founder of the Me/We initiative, unveiled the much anticipated film prop: a piano constructed out of recycled products. And while we can’t reveal the full story yet, the piano represents the message that each of the four groups of young girls and boys want to share: out of what may seem like nothing, something beautiful is created.

We are always amazed by the beauty and strength of the youth in Zaatari, but the dedication, talent and enthusiasm they have exhibited during this project inspire us. Throughout the day, each girl took her turn both behind and in front of the camera. Scene by scene, the story this group of young refugees wrote came to life. They never slowed down and the hot sun never stopped their smiles and laughter.

Watch as the girls show you a behind the scenes sneak peek of their filming day! Follow along with us, and help the girls and boys in Zaatari spread the word about their project—and their stories. Tweet, share and get the latest updates using #MeWeSyria.
